The Standard is a mixed-use revitalization of four historic buildings located in Downtown Gastonia, N.C.  Harking back to the boom times of the textile era, The Standard's 1920's architecture and modern interpretation bring new life to the space.

The Standard brings together the heritage of the beloved Standard Hardware Building with the historical significance of Gastonia's long history as a textiloe town.  Known as the "City of Spindles", Gastonia was home to more textile plants than any other county in the world in the 1920's and enjoyed financial success during the WWII demand for cotton cloth.
